Work placement opportunities
The Welsh Assembly Government offers a range of work placement opportunities ranging from unpaid work experience for students through to fifty-week paid sandwich courses for undergraduates. For details visit the work placement page of the Welsh Assembly Government website.
Work experience placement
Work experience provides young people between the ages of fourteen and eighteen years with the opportunity to gain an insight into working for the Welsh Assembly Government. These placements are unpaid and can range in duration from a couple of days to a maximum of two weeks.
The Welsh Assembly Government has supported Careers Wales for many years and is committed to accommodating all requests where feasible. We find our participation in providing work experience opportunities both rewarding and enjoyable.
To be eligible for a work experience placement you must be between the ages of fourteen and eighteen years and in full time education.
Please be aware that due to high demand, we are unable to a guarantee a placement and all requests will be dealt with on a first come, first served basis.
